"I'm So Afraid" - A Duet By Diane Marino And Robert Lauri

The very talented ne Marino and Robert Lauri combine their musical worlds in an "international" duet of harmony and synergy in a French recording entitled "J'Ai Si Peur" (I'm So Afraid). The arrangements were done by Robert Lauri, who also composed the music along with Danielle Bennaim, with lyrics by Claudine Marousek-Dornhakl. The Marino-Lauri duet is unquestionably successful: Diane's voice complements Robert's beautifully, and the performance by both artists releases a magical harmony that tells the story of a couple who has been through the ups and downs of life and seen bad times, but who finally has found a love so strong and pure that they are finally no longer afraid anymore. Romantic to the core, whether you parlez vous Francais or not, you will enjoy this emotional and heart wrenching performance.

"I'm So Afraid" - Video Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FuhYqg8LO8

Lyrics: J'Ai Si Peur (I'm so Afraid)

I'm so afraid to see happiness vanishing

I know that trembling does not help

But how can we sleep quietly telling ourselves that nothing

Can take this away, not tomorrow, not ever

I'm so afraid that everything will break and die

In less than a day, in less than an hour

Quicker than we see flowers wither

I'm so afraid to see pain come,

To see misfortune invade our happy home

But how can we protect ourselves from torment, from the wind,

from the rain and anger and the demons of the earth

Oh, I'm so afraid that everything will break and die

In less than a day, in less than an hour

Despite myself, I'm so afraid

To be afraid cannot it harm happiness, our happiness

I fear it; however we owe him well

To have put a large blue sky in our life, our life

Beautiful words of love which shine upon all our days

Oh Now that far from us are the torments

Far from us all bad winds

The rains which wet springs

Don't be afraid don't be afraid of our hearts

Nothing can change the mood

To make evil with our happiness

Do not say any more I'm so afraid

"Don't Know Me" by Nenna Yvonne

"Don't Know Me" by Nenna Yvonne is an up tempo dance track, with an Electro/Techno beat to it. Her vocals are similar to a Britney Spears dance song with synthesized background vocals. It's a great song to get the dance floor packed and ideal for a nightclub. The video showcases Nenna singing and dancing in various scenes, attire and lighting with special affects as she gets the message across to her man that she's doing okay, she's not complicated, and he doesn't know her as well as he thinks he does. She's spunky and funky delivering the news with impact and style. If you don't know her, you'll want to by the video's end.

Mister Jack - Pretty-Damn-Cool

Pretty-Damn-Cool, by the U.K.'s pop/punk/ska/reggae master Mister Jack, is a high energy video. A muted guitar gets the band rolling on this song, and the drums soon follow this 80's style feel. The band all jumps in with a bass and guitar playing the same melody in tandem, utilizing a broken ascending diminished scale. Building up the energy for the vocals that follow the breakdown, Mister Jack comes in talking about a girl on his street that's pretty sweet. The humor kicks in as he continues to describe her. He sings the hook with sing along overdubs, "I don't know what it is about you". After the hook, the band responds with the same unison pattern and Mister Jack continues to narrate more of the song. It's fun, it's funny, and it's pretty damn cool.

Jessica Sierra - Enough!

Everyone knows just how difficult life can be, but when you add the eyes of the unforgiving media and paparazzi to that, it can be a recipe for disaster. Yes, fame does come at a price and Jessica Sierra addresses that issue with passion in her new video "Enough". Sierra conveys a strong message to people about the struggles she has endured trying to regain control of her life in the midst of American Idol recognition gone too far. The video begins with the sound of a rock guitar at the beginning, quickly followed by drums. Using tight shots and close-ups of Sierra bound and struggling to free herself from ropes which secure her wrists, the message is clear that she is continuing to fight against the ties that have been placed upon her, and she emphasizes her desire to be free to live her life in happiness.

The impact of the video relies heavily on the track and a Queen-ish "We Will Rock You" stadium style beat along with her facial expressions which aptly show both annoyance and tenacity, while she twists and turns to free herself, both physically and emotionally. During the hook, strings come in to sweeten the mix and the breakdown has a nice distorted guitar section, then breaks back down to Jessica's next verse. The video ends with her breaking free of her ties and proclaiming "Enough!"

Julien Drolon - No More Divisions

The message of hope, peace and love for humankind and the fact that life is a gift that must be treasured in Julien Drolon's "No More Divisions" is emphasized by the accompanying video which features Julien singing and playing guitar among dancing, smiling kids of Childhope Asia Philippines. Aside from these adorable boys and girls, the video also includes shots of Julien and his band mates performing in the streets of Manila, as well as beautiful sunset scenes that add to the tone and ambiance of the song. Julien captures your attention with the song as the acoustic guitar strums into a catchy percussion groove with hand drums. A positive vibe pop tune that's fun to listen to, "No More Divisions" has clever tempo changes, solid playing, and meaningful lyrics. "No More Divisions" is an inspiring track on its own, made even more amazing with the endearing content and exceptional quality of what Julien describes as "the first chapter in our musical adventure." Picturesque, positive and filled with joyful children, our future, the song and video speak to the hope of better days to come.

Rachel McDonald: The Return Of Soul

It's no secret that Rachel McDonald a/k/a "The Quick Hotness" can sing. But her latest video, "Return of Soul" gives Ms. McDonald a 5-minute opportunity to show off her acting talents as well. Looking like a short version of a 70's era blaxploitation film, the video features McDonald, director Biblical Jones, and a cast of characters acting out a Kung Fu themed intro. As the music plays, scenes coincide with the lyrics taking us back to a time when humankind was much...well, kinder and soul music was society's soundtrack. Winding up with a visual and vocal tribute to the long-running music show ‘Soul Train,' Rachel McDonald's video is just as captivating as the artist herself.

Pennan Brae - Need You Now

Pennan Brae's new video, "Need You Now", is an energetic accompaniment to a quick-paced little ditty from Brae's 2009 album 'Amber Glow.' Shot in Japan, the video follows a paper airplane as it flies through the streets and shops of Osaka, on its way to a young man's sweetheart. Injected throughout the video are close-up shots of singer-songwriter Pennan as he serenades into an electric blue mic and his guitarist strums along. Bright colors, lots of movement, and a heartwarming backstory make "Need You Now" a video worth giving up 150 seconds of your time for.

Pennan Brae's video, 'Need You Now' was shot in the sweltering heat of Osaka this August, 2010. DIrected by Mogcat Productions, the premise is of a young man writing a love letter which he folds into a paper airplane & hurls in the air, hoping it finds his love.

The paper airplane begins its hopeful journey for 'her'. It navigates crowds by the thousands, skips past planes, trains & automobiles & ventures in an arcade & music store, amongst other places.

Pennan & Mogcat looked forward to uncovering attractive backdrops. Luckily, Osaka is full of bright lights & unique settings that only exist in Japan. The pair filmed on the roof of the highest spot in town. They captured a glass escalator 550 feet above the ground. The duo took for the tallest Ferris Wheel & timed their shots within the ride's big circle. They went underground for scenes in the Osaka subway system & filmed in the halls of an infamous 'love hotel' (ie; you can rent the room by the hour). Waived off by security guards & watched warily by security cameras, it was a non-stop adventure from start to finish.

& as day gives way to night, the paper airplane discovers its destination & lands at the feet of the girl for whom it was sent. As she opens the note, it reveals the title of the song & message of the author; 'I Need You Now'!

Other Fun Facts:

-2010 was the hottest summer on record in Japan since 1946
-Osaka recorded the hottest temperatures within Japan during the shooting of the video
-2 Ferris Wheels were used in the video, 1 in Kobe & 1 in Osaka
-3 locations were used; Kyoto, Kobe & Osaka

Don't you know I say I need you
Yes I do
Don't you know now that I need you
Yes I do
I need you now...

Know the joy and pain
Being by myself
Felt the sun and rain
Freedom and self-doubt

Now I've been through that
Thought a time or two
'Bout my longings and desires
To be with you

I need you now...

Now that you've tried
To make it on your own
What is rusted
Was once a heart of gold

As you decide
To come back for a try
Heard you whisper
Beneath your alibi

I need you now...

All the things you do
Time and time again
Like the world they turn
Back to you my friend

If we pursue that path
Which leads to our demise
Its fruitless yield
Would be as no surprise
Let's buck the trend
See with your own eyes

Julien Drolon Harness The Power Of Music For Peace

Pop singer/songwriter Julien Drolon released his debut single “Peace
Through Music” as well as the video to accompany the track on today,
September 21st. The date of the release coincides with the imposition
of martial law on September 21 1983, following the death of Filipino
National Hero Ninoy Aquino a month earlier. It is also the
International Day of Peace. “Peace Through Music” is the lead single
from Julien's upcoming album Time For Peace, which is expected to be
released in March 2011.

If you’ve ever daydreamed of taking a tropical vacation, sipping a
fruity drink and dancing in the white sand, “Peace Through Music”
would be the song playing in the back of your mind. With its reggae
beat, pop guitar and harmonic supporting vocals, “Peace Through Music”
is every bit a fun song. But as the title implies, the song carries a
message of “love, peace and harmony” which is precisely what French-
born Julien Drolon hopes to inspire in his fans.

Watch the video on Youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGcOmjQRZGM

The single "Have You Ever Been" from Canadian artist Pennan Brae's album 'Shaded Joy' focuses its theme on the endless search for love. Brae's music delivers a contrast between the vibrant and colorful music and passionate and painful words. He pulls this off in a very original way that is far from the mainstream. Brae has a gentle and touching folk style combined with excellent songwriting skills and creativity.

The powerful scale of notes in the opening of the track clear the field for a melody that is rich in its complexity and never stagnant. While the video, directed by Douglas DeBoer of Visual Alchemy, showcases images of the Hawaiian Island, Brae and actress/model Stephanie Perius pursue each other in the magical atmosphere of Kauai, Hawaii.

Mark Randolph - All your pride

Formed at the start of the new Millenium by vocalist/guitarist Mark Randolph, The Mark Randolph Band were regulars of the Los Angeles music scene, playing their Classic Rock and Funk/Blues influenced music to a quickly growing fan base.

Drawing upon a kaleidoscope of influences -- rock, funk, psychedelia, blues, R&B, soul, indie rock, experimental and jazz -- Mark Randolph creates a body of work that is unpredictable, vibrantly rich in texture and bursting with ideas. This band is unquestionably a product of the media age – they masterfully synthesize the past and the present. If their musical style was impossible to pigeonhole, their true identity and roots lay in that underlying soulful and bluesy funk combined and textured with today’s new sounds.

Their debut album, Mark Randolph, beautifully blends the bands strong sense of groove, richly layered rhythms and emotional lyrics. Often these surreal, free-spirted lyrics are laced with deep visual imagery and a sardonic sense of humor creating a stronger and deeper impact to their adventurous and psychedelic music.

The Mark Randolph Band takes its love of spirituality and fuses these ideals into their eclectic music. They are devoted to a path of inquiry that leads to self-awakening, inner peace, acceptance and unconditional love. They have a lightness of being and don’t take themselves too seriously. “We recognize the limitations of our intellect and the wisdom of our hearts” The past does not exist. The future will never come. There is only this ever-changing moment. We groove, make music and flow with the NOW….

Robert Lauri - Bahia Dream
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWHBsP28uZg

Eclectic Artist Robert Lauri encompasses a wide variety of musical genres on his latest record 'United Souls'. One of his preferred styles is to mix hip hop with traditional music, whether it's classic or folk-roots music. The result is always convincing and his music is sure to surprise the ears of those who are listening to him music for the first time. Robert Lauri is also one of those experienced artists who know when and where to push their music, adapting it to the changing times and the new technologies.

'Bahia Dream' is a chilly up-tempo trip hop tune. The style is fresh and modern but the accordion gives you the impression of being catapulted on Paris' Champs-Élysées. The video gives us a shot of Mother Nature's many beauties.

Jahmings Maccow - Free The Pain

Anguillan born singer-songwriter Jahmings Maccow is presenting his new music video for 'Free The Pain'. The song is available on iTunes at http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/man-redemption/id319093101

Maccow grew up in New York City, where he hooked up and played with various New York bands in The Big Apple. Now based in L.A., one of the the projects that he's planning to embark upon is a world tour that will bring him and his band to Asia by the end of 2010.

His standing against commercialization of the music began in the '80s and it has since then developed into a pure vintage reggae sound, very similar to the music of the Jamaican superstar, Bob Marley. His stories, the way he sings about social issues, love, and pain, are all coming deeply from the heart of a man. His songwriting is not something built to impress; it touches you because of its simplicity and its authenticity.

Chinie - Bless My Day

Chinie has been working hard on her videos as well as audio of her music.

"Like the music, I like to create an identity and be original" she says.

Chinie was everything, from make up artist, to dresser, handled transport, and was film director too, she had the video looking exactly as she created and wanted it to be.
Chinie was simply in charge, and left nothing to no one to do.

"I'm not a control freak, but I simply like to be free to express my abilities to the people. If the people like it then thats cool. I love to fantasize, but in all things to keep it cool. I love the thought of handling everything about a video that I am doing and to make the most of it for a girl that had no money. But its done, and thats what matters".

Latino pop upcoming artist Pascal G has just released a very special CD set that includes 16 songs, plus the "Tale Of Lola" music video. The song appears in the album in both English and Spanish versions, making it first English release by the Puerto Rican teen heart throb.

The "Tale Of Lola" music video shows Pascal G's capabilities with latin rhythms, thus earning him the comparison with Ricky Martin's sex appeal and Shakira's vibe that have been made by some people. This album proves the claims to be Factual. fans. With "The Tale Of Lola," he takes his 'Latino sound' to a higher level of quality and accessibility.

Rachel McDonald - B.A.L.T.I.M.O.R.E.

Rachel McDonald - B.A.L.T.I.M.O.R.E.

B.A.L.T.I.M.O.R.E is both a tribute to McDonald's home city as well as a dance anthem. A bouncy beat and smooth bass line make this tune perfect for the club. McDonald's voice shines here with a rich depth of tone and maturity that belies her youth and the breakdown is infectious. This song makes you dance.

Rachel McDonald is not only an extremely talented singer and songwriter; she’s a woman on a mission: bringing soul back to urban music. As her musical influences are Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Chaka Kahn, Yolanda Adams, and Fergie, she certainly seems to be on course.

Right There - Stone/Wright

Video for "Right There" by Stone/Wright (Dee Stone and Charles Wright). First video from the "Live...From the Bedroom" cd. For more info, please visit http://stonewrightmusic.com

Videographer/editor: Michael Stern, http://mabusinc.com

Song Lyrics:

you must have had it in a real bad way
to make you think that you've got to go it alone
somebody broke your heart
burned it, turned it into bitter stone
must have had some hard times
back-breakin', soul-shakin', blues-makin' days
to make you give up on the love
and go down there in that lonely, lonely place

well, when the sun comes up in the morning you're gonna smile
you're gonna feel good and know your heart is safe and sound
and when i see you look my way, i know you believe me, yeah
everything's gonna be just fine
and im gonna be right there
in the mornin', i'm gonna be right there

ive been watching you climbing walls
desperado, sick and tired of the pain
sad people and sad lives, bringing you down
it gets so hard to maintain
shake off the dirty water
get the misery and mayhem out from under your skin
no matter what they did or said to you
youve got to dance your dance again

when the sun comes up in the morning you're gonna smile
you're gonna feel good and know your heart is safe and sound
and when i see you look my way, i know you believe me, yeah
everything's gonna be just fine
and im gonna be right there
in the mornin', i'm gonna be right there, yes i am

solo

when the sun comes up in the morning you're gonna smile
you're gonna feel good and know your heart is safe and sound
and when i see you look my way, i know you believe me, yeah
everything's gonna be just fine
and im gonna be right there
in the mornin', i'm gonna be right there

Kaya - Rat Race

Kaya - Rat Race

by Jon Peritz

"The new music video for Rat Race, from the UK based soul/hip-hop outfit Kaya is an in your face no nonsense dance party with a message. Shot in a single small room blanketed in old posters and graffiti, the video shows the band in their natural element. Rappers Aina and Natty rhyme about the inequities of the tax structure and the importance of working for the love and not for the money. This song has a sticky hook tied together with catchy horn lines and a number of clever verses that the band performs as they act out their words. Aina sings about working a 10-6 job as she sits, clearly frustrated, behind a desk crowded with papers and a fax machine. She vows there to turn over a new leaf. Kaya released the video for Rat Race to warm us up for their new record due to drop in August 2010."

Blurred Vision - Another Brick In The Wall (Hey Ayatollah, Leave Those Kids Alone!)

Blurred Vision - Another Brick In The Wall (Hey Ayatollah, Leave Those Kids Alone!)

Canadian rock band Blurred Vision is gearing up to release their debut album. The remake of 'Another Brick In The Wall' by Pink Floyd, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Babak Payami, has been produced to show solidarity to the people of Iran, who are fighting for their freedom of speech against their fundamentalist regime.

The video shows images from the fights that occurred after the 2009 Iranian presidential election, that many Iranians claimed was altered and highly influenced by the cleric leadership of Ayatollah's and by the government in general. Most of those images have been captured by people on the streets, as the social media and news agencies were restricted during protests. Protesters were and are seeking a more democratic participation and freedom of speech.

The song is available for download on iTunes. 50% of all sales will be donated to Amnesty International.

Pennan Brae - Goin' Down

Pennan Brae - Goin' Down

Singer/songwriter Pennan Brae released two full-length works in 2009, one of which is called 'Amber Glow' and features, among other brilliant songs, Goin' Down. The tune is as soft and laid-back as all Brae's repertoire. But the track soon unveils its distinctive edgy sound, spiced with blues. The video was released on March 1, 2010. Brae's songs have been widely appreciated last year, receiving airplays and charts placements not only in North America, but also in Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. The video of Goin' Down was directed by Thomas Smith and stars actress Raquel Riskin.

Pennan Brae's voice is soft and gentle. His songwriting quite often involves romance and love. Instrumentally, he's a master on keyboards, having played the piano since the age of 5. He is also a great guitarist and on many tracks you can hear him playing harmonica. Find out more on his music at http://www.pennanbrae.com

Lola Balatro - Questionable Beef

Forged in the still-smoldering ashes of turn-of-the-90s cock rock and grunge, Lola Balatro has begun its riveting ascent up the sacred mountain of rocklore. With a genre-bending amalgam of instant classics, this Chicago-based trio effortlessly blends the unabashed sincerity of angst-driven post-punk with the unapologetic swagger of classic rock. Gifted tunesmiths in the mold of Cobain, Townshend, and Ocasek, Lola Balatro marries street-wise arrangements from the school of hard licks with textbook popology to generate a sonic fury that should inspire all regurgitating emo-core wannabes to recalculate their paint-by-the-numbers McRock.

Kava Kava - Clarity

Kava Kava is a group with a lot of experience behind them. They often play at internationally renowned festivals and their biography is a compilation of successes, partnerships and important collaborations. Their latest album, Forwards, was released on the New York City based label Midnight Swimming in 2009.

Although Kava Kava calls their music 'psychedelic funk,' Clarity is a psycho-progressive electro-rock tune. This video, masterfully directed by Michael Slavens, is shot in a dark, ambient style. Thanks to the artistry of the director and the lightness of the music, the video is one that audiences will find to be compelling and enjoyable.

Ivory Tower Project "My Name"

The Ivory Tower Project offers an excellent classic rock, infused with many important social issues such as alienation and escapism but also simple feelings like love. The anthem of the group but also the true meaning of their name, is to go beyond the every day's reality that makes us alienated. The Ivory Tower is that very best place of refuge from the daily routine where you are 'free' to express yourself.

'My Name' is the opening track of RED HOT, their last full-length album released on Guerrilla Records. The track enhances their style, very close to 80's rock, but the video shows captions of modern New York City, with its crowded streets and people always on the run. Symbol of a fast-growing world that can forget about the most simple and innocent emotions.
